Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a new Backend Engineer to join the ZGEN team to work on the Guild.xyz product as a new member of the core backend team. This team is currently mainly responsible for the stability and scalability of the product, while also providing support for new integrations/implementations to be built by other teams. They are also responsible for designing the architecture and implementing new technologies. Currently, the closest implemented integrations to the product are Discord, Telegram, Spotify, Shopify, Google Workspace, Github, Steam.

What you’ll be doing

• Solving stability and scalability issues
• Performance optimization
• Implement 3rd party integrations

Things we look for

• Minimum 3 years experience (Node.js, Typescript, Express.js, REST, Redis, Linux)
• Strong knowledge of Node.js/TypeScript
• Experience in REST API design and development

Bonus points

• Experience in scaling backend applications, Prisma, PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of Jest and various testing methodologies and frameworks (Vitest, Selenium)
• Interest in the world of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies and cryptography
• Full autonomy to investigate problems, propose solutions
• Experience in developing systems with a large user base
